Who are we?
I'm a creative jack-of-all-trades and proud single mother of my “kiki”:
Silke. You often hear or read that the passion for creation started in
childhood. I'm clearly a late bloomer ;-). A friend dragged me to my first
workshop on creating with natural materials when I was 35. I haven't
stopped since.
That's right. I never knew mom any other way. From flowers to furniture:
no challenge is too big for her. I have always admired her creativity.
So I'm Silke, alias “Kiki” for mom. I love social media and marketing. If you
don't see me behind my computer, I'm on a horse, in nature or working
with animals.

Why the love for jewelry?
As a single mother, I have a very strong connection with my daughter.
Being a woman, radiating self-confidence, feeling good about yourself are important topics for us... We do this very naturally: by each creating our
own style with nice clothes and cool accessories. Unfortunately we cannot
exchange clothes (there are a few sizes difference :-)), but we can
share jewelry. When I was introduced to making jewelry
from clay (with my love for natural products) we were both very
happy. I love creating and making, Silke really loves social
media and marketing... the ideal combo. After a few crazy try-outs in the
living room, Infylia was born.

Not being able to exchange clothes, but being able to share jewelry, is
the inspiration for our slogan: “No matter how much chocolate you eat,
your earrings will still fit”. I can no longer count the number of times that
my mother was mad at me because I had “borrowed” (read: taken
without asking) her newest pair of earrings. It was and is the way for us to
feel good about ourselves. At my age there is a lot of pressure to look
“perfect”. We grew up with the ideal picture of social media. Mom taught
me that I looked great of course, without kilos of make-up or botox,
but with my own creative touch through clothing and jewelry. I really want
to share that feeling she gave me, that self-confidence, with other women.
Infylia is our way to do that.

What makes Infylia unique?
Each piece is self-designed, self-made and unique. But what makes Infylia special to me is the bond that my daughter and I have with each other. This seeps into our company and our collections. We test everything together: colors, models, packaging... And as Silke said so beautifully: passing on self-confidence, making women shine: that gives us that extra boost.
Our friends also play a big role in our lives and in Infylia. I know all my mom's friends and vice versa. We are a beautiful, diverse bunch together. Our collections are a reflection of how we see them as women: colorful or sober, playful or serious, striking or very subdued, but each unique. That is why all our jewelry was given a specific name, referring to the beautiful bond we have with each of them.
